The newly created department Power Electronics designs the brain of the Electric Vehicle propulsion system - The Traction inverter HW & SW as well as power conversion and charger units. The Inverter Electric HW design team is currently developing Traction Inverter prototypes and is searching for a test and analysis engineer in order to get the team up and running within the testing area. Your Contribution
Your main responsibility will be testing and analysis of traction inverter prototypes. This will typically involve preparing, setting up and performing functional tests in the HV laboratory and other similar environments as well as analyzing test results, fault tracing, reporting tests and proposing design improvements together with the design team members.
You will also develop test methods, analyze methods and test processes, including automation scripts. Overall, you will contribute to an efficient HW test flow. By involving in our testing, you will get the opportunity to understand the complete inverter function as well as its design.
Your Skills
We see that you have a University Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably in power electronics. In addition, you need a couple of years of professional experience from working with power electronics either within the design or test/verification.
All Volvo Cars design work is carried out by Agile design teams. Being a team player with utilizing efficient collaboration with team members and other stakeholders is therefore a key enabler to succeed in the role.
