The major part of the research at the faculty addresses the two research and educational profiles "Biological Interfaces" and "Health and Social Conditions in a Life Cycle Perspective". The position will be active in Biological Interfaces, which has a focus on the interplay between materials, biomolecules, and cells, on molecular, nano, micro, and macroscopic levels. The faculty research is also linked to the research programme "Biofilms - Research Center for Biointerfaces" (www.mah.se/biofilms) which combines research with medical, dental, food, and environmental applications, at three faculties, in close collaboration with regional industry.
Postdoc researcher position: Development of molecularly imprinted polymers for bioanalysis
Research duties are focused on molecular imprinting technology with special emphasis on molecular recognition, design of functional monomers and integration of MIPs with sensor transducers for advanced bioanalysis.
Required Qualifications and Criteria for Assessment of Applicants
Candidates must have demonstrated scientific competence corresponding to a doctoral degree in chemistry with special emphasis on molecular imprinting and bioanalysis. Candidates with a proven track record demonstrating practical contributions directly related to the research topic of the position outlined above will be given preference. A strong background in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry or analytical chemistry is furthermore required.
