hela Sverige We are looking for a dynamic team player to take a challenging role as Plastic Material Development Engineer. You will join Material and Surface Technology department belonging to global Industrialization team in the Installation Systems & Control Business Unit.
Industrialization is the interlink between Offer Development and Manufacturing Units ensuring that design can be produced in an effective way. In total we support 25 Offer Development and Manufacturing units around Europe.
Your role will be to do anticipation projects for plastic material development, including planning, processing, testing and reporting results. The aim is to get the material approved for new design and production by ensuring the characterisation of the properties and documentation of the results.
Working alongside 2 other team members in Nyköping, you will be reporting to the Senior Manager Industrialization and Material. You will be in contact with Offer Development departments and Manufacturing units in the Business Unit. External relationships will mainly be with Plastic materials and additives suppliers and Supplier of plastic processing equipment.
Core duties include:
• Defining material strategies for existing and new products
• Anticipation projects in plastic material development
• IS&C Colour Administrator
• Plastic material characterisations
• Support to R&D and Production units in plastic material related issues
• Support R&D for selection of RM in new products
• Managing RM and process strategy guidelines
• Providing information of updated know-how of material and technology in IS&C
• Development and characterisation of materials and surface coatings
Skills and Competencies required:
• High school degree with a minimum of 2 years of college education in plastic technology
• Excellent Oral and Written English skills
• Plastic material product and testing knowledge
• Skills as injection moulding operator
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills
• Project Management skills and international experience will be a plus
