hela Sverige Packsize is a product company with strong growth. We are the global leader in machine system "on demand packaging" and we are developing new smart machines for our customers. Overall we are 250 employees, of which about 65 are working in Enkoping.
This position entails the oversight of the monthly closing process, financial leadership of business decisions, and ensuring the proper valuation of accounting standard costs and associated profits of the company?s manufacturing and assembly facility in accordance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (?US GAAP?). The Plant Controller will be able to analyze a manufacturing environment in order to determine root cause of variances and convey meaningful accounting data and factory metrics to management.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial close with adequate controls and reviews in place
• Oversee and perform various cost accounting functions including full absorption standard costing, analysis and setting of labor and overhead rates, pricing, volume and efficiency variance analysis
• Propose and help implement strategies to improve efficiency and optimize cost
• Manage Year-end Physical Count and periodic cycle counts
• Partner with new product development, operations and sales planning and analysis to prepare cost models for prospective products
• Prepare monthly reporting package in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage relationship with external auditors for the local statutory audit and the group consolidated reporting package audit
• Interpret and disseminate the cost accounting information to management; lead and manage the most complex cost accounting projects
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial and manufacturing budgets, complete budget versus actual results throughout the year, and report to management underlying causes where material variances are found
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Training:
• Bachelor?s degree required in Accounting or Finance or similar field.
• 8+ years of combined experience in Cost accounting /Manufacturing accounting
• Lean manufacturing or like experience preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Knowledge of financial regulations, policies, practices and principles in accordance with US GAAP and Swedish GAAP and Tax law
• Ability to effectively coordinate activities with other departments.
• Managerial experience at a public company with a US parent preferred
• Highly skilled in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with employees/management and ability to read situations and apply diplomacy and tact in communications needed to perform duties
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for getting involved in all aspects of the business
• Ability to provide insight and creative suggestions when pursuing special projects
• Must have excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence effectively (both written and oral) with all levels in the company in both Swedish and English
• Proven ability to present forecasts, budgets and other documentation to the management team
• Proven ability to effect cost improvements through data analysis and partnering with management team
