To be successful in this role you have proven advanced training in Retail Layout, Design, Marketing, Sales, Business Management or equivalent. You have minimum 5 years' experience of developing businesses and delivering results and you have experience in leading and influencing teams and managers. We believe you have experience from a leading position in establishing new Customer Meeting Points (CMPs), as ComIn Manager, Sales Manager or Customer Experience Manager in a market organisation and/or within Expansion. In addition, you have experience from managing change in a complex business environment. You also bring experience from store design and retail establishment process. Moreover you have proven project management skills and you have experience from a multicultural environment.
You have knowledge in:
• the Retail Establishment Process
• customers' living situations in different areas around the world as well as their needs and frustrations in their everyday life at home
• methods for presenting the range and service range using store media, display techniques and store layout as commercial tools
• efficient CMP operations
• IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and vision
• Ingka Group strategies, priorities and strategic expansion planning process
• how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders in IKEA
• IKEA multichannel shopping experience
• how to set direction, create and manage long-term goals and plans and follow up on KPIs
You need to have the ability to take a holistic and long-term view of a global organisation and identify business opportunities accordingly. You possess good leadership capabilities - ability to lead, coach, motivate and influence a large team of co-workers and colleagues. Also you prioritize, delegate and make efficient decisions with speed and simplicity. Moreover we believe you have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships and communicate in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice.
What you'll be doing day to day
In this role you will lead a team of specialists, being responsible to support the preparation and planning of new CMPs and major rebuilds based on our most recent home furnishing and merchandising solutions. You will be responsible to secure large scale expansion planning and delivery on time with high quality.
You will:
• be responsible for leading a large specialists team in central planning of new CMPs and major rebuilds according to the global expansion plan
• be responsible for delivering a large portfolio of projects within expected quality, time and budget, by designing retail solutions based on market input and Inter IKEA Systems in order to build the brand, secure an outstanding customer experience, grow sales and broaden the customer base
• be responsible to ensure and enable efficient CMPs that present the range in a vital, inspiring way fitting the needs of the many and that enable access to the whole range in a multichannel retail world of IKEA
• secure that the Planning Hub team is at the forefront of new solutions and new technology in order to optimise customer experience and efficiency of CMPs
• lead, coach and develop a high performing team that will strongly contribute to reach the objectives and goals in Group Expansion
• take lead in working across functions within Ingka Group and collaborate with other IKEA units
• enable all team members to share best practices with and across the organisation
• take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered
• act as member of the Central Planning Hub Management Team and proactively contribute to IKEA Business Plan
• lead positive change, and contribute to building a more unique, inclusive and accessible IKEA - guided by the People and Planet Positive commitments
The role is located in Malmö and will report to the Retail Solutions & Planning Manager.
