Business Unit (BU) Nuclear Power is a part of Business Division Production and responsible for all Nuclear Operations within Vattenfall. BU NP operates four nuclear power plants situated in Sweden and Germany; Ringhals, Forsmark, Krümmel and Brunsbüttel. Also included in the BU are the companies SKB, KSU, VF Fuel, Barsebäck Kraft AB, SVAFO and SQC. The BU has approximately 4000 employees. Safety and Performance is one of the staff departments.
Job description
The overall purpose of the department Safety and Performance is to monitor safety performance and handle fleet performance monitoring concerning indicator development and driving processes for continuous improvements. The department should also coordinate the competence centre with respect to nuclear safety, quality and performance excellence.
In this role, you will be part of a small team who's main tasks is to develop and maintain the BU NP management system (VMS) as well as to support the business development work including coordination of our Process Coordination teams (PCT) and other continuous improvement initiatives and activities.
Important tasks for the Performance Excellence coordinator are:
• handling and maintenance of the BU NP management system (VMS) which will include cooperation with our subsidiaries
• responsible for the day to day coordination of activities necessary to drive the quality improvement plan
• quality reviews of instructions
• follow-up and support of our World Class Program strategic initiatives and PCTs
• ensure that tools and training to primarily our PCTs are available, used and continuously developed
• to some extent support Continuous Improvement projects driven by Business Division Production. These projects includes cooperation with the three other BUs at BD Production; Hydro, Thermal and Lignite
We are currently further developing our business and operations through coordination with and between our subsidiaries in terms of Quality and Performance Excellence management and this role will be highly involved in this exciting work.
You report to the Head of Safety & Performance. You will work closely together with our Performance Excellence manager.
Qualifications
You have a relevant academic degree or extensive experience in management systems and/or business development. It is an advantage if you have experience from Lean Six Sigma or other comparable methodologies, as well as project management and experience from the nuclear industry. Working language is English.
