Our department, Autonomous Systems Development, is focused on the technology and software for self-driving vehicles. We have got the inspiring challenge to bring autonomous trucks and buses to the our customers! This is an important part of Scania's shift towards sustainable transport solutions.
Assignment
You will work in a group that has responsibility for the autonomous vehicles localization and perception. The vehicle is highly dependent on accurate real-time localization and modelling of the surrounding. Together with your team-colleagues you will create the SW that will run in vehicles in our customers operations. The development is carried out in agile teams in close collaboration with the other parts of our organization and our customers. Examples are Motion Planning, Sensor platform and Customer projects. Depending on your profile you will find your place in either our Perception team or Localization team.
What you'll be doing
• Designing and integrating algorithmic solutions in SW to solve perception and/or localization problems
• Writing safe embedded C++ code that meet automotive and safety standards and will run in operations in our customers challenging real world scenarios
• Use both simulated environment and test vehicles to develop and verify your solutions
• You will contribute to the agile teamwork - with your unique personality and skills
Your profile and competence
• At least M.Sc. in robotics, computer science, applied mathematics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience from working with areas such as Kalman filtering, object tracking, sensor fusion, signal processing and modelling of dynamical systems
• Software development in C++, including software design and methods for creating high code quality
• You are self-motivated and love to take on complex real-world product development challenges
• You are a team player and understand how good communication and cooperation skills is vital for success
• You are comfortable with agile development methods, CI/CD, SCRUM and other modern team-oriented methods
