About Peak Performance


Back in 1986, two very passionate skiers, one of them a world-class mogul skier with several World Cup wins, were sitting next to each other in a chairlift heading up a mountain. About to test and write about a new skiwear line, they started to talk about why no one was making skiwear that they wanted to wear. Garments that combined excellent functionality with simple, attractive design. Also, they wondered if there was any way that they could stay longer and more often in the ski resort they both loved - the little mountain village Åre, in northern Sweden.

It turned out that the answer to both questions was Peak Performance. Initially, their ambitions didn't extend much beyond making some clothes for themselves and their friends, in sufficient quantities to make a living from it. The business was shaped by what was important to them. Finding the right design and technical solution was paramount.

And the strategy worked. In the late 1980's, people were tired of extravagance and superficiality. Everybody was looking for the real thing that comes with genuine quality. Ski jackets with leather details and flannel shirts were suddenly the answer, rather than neon and looking like a fully decorated Christmas tree. Orders generated by the first mail order catalog overwhelmed the little post office in town. So much so that they had to take on more staff just to keep up.

During the early years, most things took longer to do than they should have. After all, Peak Performance was a company founded by skiers - people who more than anything else wanted to ski some winter. Anyone who managed to find our little office in Åre was often confronted with a sign on the front door that read: Gone skiing.

Peak Performance was born 1986 in the Swedish mountains out of a love for skiing in remote. Untouched terrain and the passion for adventure and nature runs deep. We unlock the freeride spirit. The products all have the same purpose - empower the freedom to be adventurous and live everyday life to the fullest, 365 days a year.

We are now searching for a relationship driven and dedicated Key Account Manager, responsible for parts of our distribution within the Nordic region. We believe the right person for the job is driven by making a difference and taking sales, results and customer relations to the next level.

The position reports directly to our Country Manager and is based at our office in Stockholm. You will be expected to travel a minimum of 30 % of your time.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Key Account Manager at Peak Performance you will be responsible for implementing and managing the company's sales and distribution goals for the active categories. Together with other Key Accounts and joint business plans, you contribute to long-term sustainable growth and overall success for the brand. The role involves support in the regional operations and collaboration takes place with other stakeholders within the company and the sales team across the Nordics.


Develop the business strategically and create new opportunities with the accounts you are responsible for.


Follow up with all stakeholders inside and outside the company.


Apply the strategic plan that has been set up for the Nordic markets.


Build successful long-term relationships with key accounts and implement local marketing efforts.


Seek after best-in-class marketing execution together with Account Marketing Manager.


Ensure sales targets are achieved according to the budget plan.


Established calendar planning on an annual basis that accommodates company and dealer needs, considering dealer and consumer events and all deadlines.


Develop comprehensive, fact-based assortment proposals, enabling mutually profitable growth.


Ensure prompt delivery of products in close collaboration with the back office team.


Provide constructive feedback from the marketplace to headquarters to achieve product development goals.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

To thrive in the role we believe you are a passionated person with interest in sports. You are probably a sympathetic and proactive team player with the ability to work successfully with a variety of people to build long-lasting relationships. Also with a good understanding of strategic processes and how to manage a holistic regional marketplace.


At least 3 years of Key Account Management experience in the sporting goods and fashion industry, preferably Omni Channel experience.


Bachelor's or Master's degree with approximately 6 years of relevant experience in sales.


Numerical and strong analytical ability.


A cool personality with a goal- and performance-oriented mindset.


Highly organized, flexible, self-motivated person with strong presentation skills and a digital background.


Initiative taker with humor and loyalty.


Good communication skills, both verbal and written with fluency in English.


Computer skills and proficiency in MS applications.
