We are looking for a successor of our current PCR leader who is taking up a new assignment outside Scania.

Scania has, together with Cummins Inc, a Joint Venture to manufacture XPI Fuel Injection systems. The JV consists of Machining, Assembly & Test. The operations are located in Columbus IN USA, Juárez Mexico and Södertälje Sweden. There is also a global Fuel System Engineering with the center in Columbus IN USA to develop and support the products.
Your work assignments as PCR Assignment Leader:
The main role of the PCR (Product Change Request) Assignment Leader is to manage changes that occur on products that are already in production (Red arrow projects). Making changes while in production is a complex activity and this role will be to act as the owner and project leader of this process for the assigned changes. You will be working together closely with multiple disciplines including: Engineering for technical requirements, Purchasing for supplier implementation, Customer communication and the individual plants for validation and readiness.
This Assignment Leader role will own the projects dedicated to Scania products and projects involving working with European supply base for component or process changes (role may involve travel to suppliers and other Fuel Systems locations). This role offers the opportunity to work globally with other XPI organizations including the teams in U.S., Mexico, India and China.
This is a great opportunity to be in project management and learn about common rail fuel systems which is a critical component in powertrain, also will get exposed to many different disciplines within the business.
• Project ownership from initiation to implementation
• Identify and organize appropriate team members to support the work
• Develop, document and track project schedules
• Chair periodic team meetings
• Assure that customer are notified of changes and that customer approval is received when necessary
• Report weekly on progress of PCRs
• Motivate support members
• Elevate issues with PCRs to management in a timely manner
Your profile

You will communicate project status and needed actions regularly and to be successful in the role you need to be comfortable with presenting and facilitating larger groups in English (written and orally).
You have a relevant education from the university, experience in product development and at least 2 years' experience of project management. If you have previous experience with the Scania 's Product Development Process, it is a plus.
