I am looking for a personal assistant for a 35% part-time position. The shifts follow a rotating schedule:
• Evenings 18.30-23.30 followed by stand-by hours 23.30-08.00 (rotating 3-week schedule)
• Plus, day-time every sixth weekend - Saturday 08.00-16.00 and Sunday 08.00-12.00.
You work on a rotating schedule with fixed shifts - except in exceptional situations - which means that you can plan knowing how much and when you work. The schedule contains shifts during weekdays as well as weekends. I appreciate if you can work extra hours on occasion, but it is not a demand.
The position is available from January 2020 with the introduction in December (before the holidays).
You are one of three assistants working evening and stand-by hours (beredskapstid). Since you will work stand-by hours, you must live close to where I do - no more than app. 30 minutes travel. I live in the south-west suburbs, at the end of the Metro's green line nr. 17.
I have had personal assistance since it became a right 1994 when I finally got the right to be the main character in my own life. Before this, I existed through housing with services which is not an experience I would recommend, but which taught me to appreciate the self-determination personal assistance provides. This is also why I seek somebody with female or non-binary gender identity.
Personal assistance is a service profession for me. You do not need any experience. You get an introduction in what you need to know to assists me personally, as this is what personal assistance is all about. I appreciate my personal assistants but do not want you to care for me, entertain me, talk or make decisions on my behalf. You will work closely with me in my private as well as professional situations. Therefore, I want you to feel comfortable taking the backseat. Integrity is important for me - yours as well as mine.
I have a cat so you cannot be allergic or afraid of cats. I am not allergic but get headaches from strong scents and often work in environments where scents are banned due to allergies. Therefore, you cannot use perfumes or other scents when you work for me.
You have to be fluent in Swedish or English as these are the languages I can communicate in.
