The communications department is now seeking an external communications manager who wishes to join the company in its ongoing journey of change. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about good communications and is digitally competent. The right candidate will have both analytical and strategic skills plus an ability and interest in employing these. You will also possess a clear ability to establish good relationships with employees in the operations and with management and the senior management team, as well as with external stakeholders. To be suited to Ovako's corporate culture you should be able to act openly and have the ability to win trust.
Job outline
• To develop and implement external communications strategies and approaches together with the Head of Group Communications
• To continuously develop, improve and measure Ovako's external communications and communication channels, including digital and social channels
• To proactively build Ovako's brand in relevant media
• To act as a press contact
• To work with production and development of Ovako's annual and interim reports
• To support the organization and business units with advice and support on external communications
• To plan and produce the flow of news in Ovako's external communications channels and ensure that content is updated, relevant and structured
• To prepare, write and publish press releases, plus enquiries and response documents
• To create and maintain external and internal networks
• To act as aggregator and project manager toward external suppliers
• To support internal communications work as required
Education/experience
• 4-7 years of professional experience in external communications, preferably within an international group
• Broad communications background
• Experience of working with social channels
• Experience as a writer
• Experience of working with Episerver or other CMS solutions
• Relevant university degree
In this role you will be responsible, together with the Head of Communications, for the group's external communications and external communications channels, including digital channels. You will work closely with other employees within Group Communications, HR and other functions and units in order to build internal networks and ensure consistent and integrated communications in all channels.
You must have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills, especially Finnish, are an advantage.

Position
The position, to be filled immediately, is permanent and full-time, and is located at our headquarters on Kungsträdgården in Stockholm.
