We are looking for a driven, engaged, and curious Outreach Specialist with experience from knowledge-intensive industries who, though external engagement, can help increase the impact of UMC's work driving standardisation in medicine and vaccine safety. All in pursuit of a worthy cause with a global reach.

We invite you to become a member of our growing Outreach section. As a small yet high performing team, we work collaboratively to support one another. Our mission is clear: raising awareness of UMC's products and services, engaging with potential new users of our products, fostering relationships with external stakeholders, and providing dedicated care to our extensive user communities. These communities include professionals from the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory bodies, and other key players within the life sciences industry. Within UMC, we also work closely with our Product Management, External Engagement, and other external-facing units.

Are you a versatile professional with a passion for creativity and a keen interest in life sciences and patient safety? In our team, you'll take on a broad range of tasks, from coordinating conferences to creating content and updating web pages. You'll be an integral part of our efforts to engage with both prospective and current users of our pharmacovigilance products and services via various channels.

Your role will be varied, with some activities requiring a creative mindset to meet the evolving needs of our external stakeholders, while other tasks are part of our maintenance undertakings and based on well-defined processes. For the right candidate, there's room to grow with the position and take on new challenges based on your skills and interests.

What you will do

- Manage conference and exhibit material.
- Develop original content for emails, social media campaigns, print advertisements, and the UMC website.
- Perform web updates related to UMC's products and services.
- Coordinate bookings and provide general support and oversight for conference exhibits and other related events.
- Support with all aspects of UMC's product-related external events and conferences - both face-to-face and virtual - from concept until completion.
- Plan and facilitate administration, logistics, and travel arrangements for face-to-face events and conferences.
- Plan, coordinate, and host virtual events and webinars, as well as provide technical support for other participants before, during, and after these events.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with our user communities and other external stakeholders
- Assist with other activities and projects, as needed, within the Outreach section.
Who You Are

- You have at least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- You have experiences from external relationships and external communication, preferably in a business-to-business (B2B) setting. You will be in a position where you need to feel comfortable in representing UMC as an organisation and building long-term relationships with our stakeholders.
- You have experience from highly regulated, knowledge-intensive or complex industries, such as life sciences.
- You are mission-driven, with an interest in life sciences and motivated by working for a non-profit organisation that has a meaningful impact on global health.
- It is a plus if you have experiences from event management, copywriting, graphic design, professional email content development, or web updates.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (minimum B2 level); proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, or Spanish is a plus.
- You are a creative generalist and enjoy wearing many hats, from administrative support to creating engaging content, and you're excited about contributing in a variety of ways.
- You're able to manage multiple projects and tasks at once, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high quality in your work.
- You prioritise the success of the team and the achievement of project goals above individual recognition, contributing to collective wins and supporting a collaborative environment.
- You handle changes and challenges with ease, quickly adapting to shifting priorities and finding solutions. We value collaboration, adaptability, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
- You take pride in delivering high-quality work, ensuring that every detail is considered.
- You are committed to continuous learning and self-improvement, staying engaged with industry trends, and looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
