hela Sverige We are on behalf of one of our customer in Göteborg looking for Oracle Essbase Engineer with focus on MDX interface.
Job description:
In the next release of our customers product they adding support for Oracle Essbase as an external data source, and are planning to integrate to Oracle Essbase in a similar manner as with the Microsoft SSAS Cubes, i.e. interfacing with the cube layer and generating MDX queries. They only extracts data from the external data sources, never updates these.
Required competence:
The main responsibilities of the Oracle Essbase consultant will be:
• Set up a plan for implementing Oracle Essbase support. How long time will the different work packages take?
• Setup environment and instances
• Set up Oracle Essbase test instances with different authentication mechanisms; most important NTLM and/or Kerberos.
• Create cubes from data sources; perhaps it is possible to ?clone? the SSAS Adventure Works example cube in many aspects.
• Prepare relevant test and test data
• Create functional test specifications matching our queries created from plots.
• Create Unit and Integration tests for the Oracle Essbase Connector
• Validate current SSAS integration and add support for Oracle Essbase
• Select relevant Oracle Essbase driver that should be used
• Translate Oracle Essbase metadata to the client metadata (do we get all metadata needed from the public Oracle Essbase API?)
• Inform us about special cases in Oracle Essbase in the query area.
• What differences and/or similarities do you know between SSAS and Oracle Essbase?
• Educate us in the general module for Oracle Essbase InfoCubes. Describe the attributes and properties for the Oracle Essbase InfoCube and how should we use them?
• Candidates must be good team players with attention to detail, self-disciplined, able to manage their own time and workload, proactive and motivated
• Candidates shall also have good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 months with possibility for extension.
Location: Göteborg
Work load: 100%
