Have you just completed your PhD within Optics and Photonics and looking for your first job in the industry? This is the job for you!
Our customer in northern Stockholm is currently looking for an optical specialist to join their team. They are a global supplier of high precision production equipment. Leaders in the SMT, semiconductor and automotive industries use their innovative products, services and solutions to create tomorrow's electronics - from advanced displays to life-saving medical implants and the next generation of satellites,
As an optical specialist you will join their R&D group working with innovation and new products. One of your first tasks will be testing and evaluating lasers in the blue region. The tests focus on both optical properties and performance stability, followed up by solving any identified issues together with the laser manufacturer and the rest of the optics team. You will also use your expertise and experience to contribute to different innovation projects.
As an optical specialist your key responsibilities will include:
Testing and evaluating lasers
Support with optical expertise in different innovation projects
Work in and with clean rooms
Work with documentation
Develop test procedures and have dialog with suppliers.
Qualifications
To be a good fit for the role you have a PhD in the area of Optics and Photonics.
You are a natural problem solver and find a troubleshooting environment stimulating. Your communication skills are excellent and you have the ability to establish good relations with the people around you.
While you manage to work well individually, you prefer to work in multi-disciplinary teams and consider yourself as a team player. You are curious, innovative and take responsibility within the team.
In this role, it is especially important to be thorough and quality driven.
In addition to above we believe that the perfect candidate have:
Experience from diffraction optics
Experience from acousto optics
Experience from contamination of optics
Extensive experience of setting up and testing lasers
Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
