You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and market robots with associated control systems, software, arc welding products, track motions and motor packages. In Sweden, we are approximately 600 employees who are located in Västerås and Gothenburg. More than 90 percent of our production is exported and all the major automotive manufacturers are among our customers. The automotive industry and their subcontractors, as well as other industries such as the food industry, are the main users of robot-based automation. Welding, machine service, handling of material, grinding, packaging, and assembling are the most common application areas. The sales of robots and robot systems are managed by local ABB companies as well as by freestanding system integrators and OEM companies and these are the firms we call our business partners.

Tasks
As our Opex Manager for Robots and applications you will define and develop our Opex strategies in line with ABB Opex strategy. You will support their local adoption and deployment to accelerate the rate of operational improvement across the entire value chain. You will also set coherent and aligned Opex priorities and targets, monitor progress, analyze KPIs and act on deviations.
An important part will be to provide productivity, profitability and competence assessments. You will drive improvement programs and the application and development of Group-wide best practice frameworks across the entire value chain. Another part will be to develop, organize and lead Opex training for LPG, Operation Manager and Quality managers and other key functions.

Requirements
You hold a Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent operational or multifunctional experience from other operations. You also have experience from leading major improvement and restructuring projects as well as master English, both in written and spoken.

You are an innovative thinker with the ability to positively challenge status quo and motivate teams. It is important that you have a high integrity and strong analytical, influencing and systematic problem solving skills.
