If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group's global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several "on-the-job" rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

Our organization:
At the Group Trucks Operation Plant in Köping we manufacture gearboxes for trucks, heavy vehicles and marine stern drives for Volvo Penta. The 1600 employees at the site work in an industrial world class environment. The operations at the plant include machining and heat treatment of components as well as assembly of complete gearboxes. The plant is "Centre of Excellence" regarding Heavy Duty Transmissions. Our responsibility is to develop and verify process concepts and solutions for global needs as well as concentrate and develop critical competences within the technology area.
This is us, your new team:
The logistics development department consists of around 15 people in different roles, such as packaging engineers, logistics support and logistics developers. Logistics development is responsible for the flow set up in the factory and the theoretical capacity within the material handling processes. The area is also responsible for logistic support to production and material handling and the continuous improvement efforts which can be divided into reactive problem solving and proactive focused improvements of methods and processes. A lot of the work is organized in projects and we can have different roles in different projects such as experts, project managers or work package leaders.
Main activities and responsibilities:
This position requires good cross functional cooperation with production and other support organizations within the factory. But also upstream and downstream in the supply chain as well as with colleagues around the world within the different global logistics networks. A summary of your working areas:
Material flow dimensioning and optimizing
Work package leader/project manager for logistic activities within product and industrialization projects
Lead functional or cross functional improvement projects
Perform investigations and participate in global development work
Business development within the own organization

To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
Msc. in Business or Economics with a Logistic orientation
Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation
Solid English and Swedish skills
Communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself and the business that you are working in
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Valid work permit for Sweden
