As an Operational leader at Customer Fulfilment, you have good opportunities to further develop your leadership skills. We expect that you who apply have the will and potential to develop your leadership in this role in order to apply for leadership roles within IKEA within 1-3 years.

A day in your life with us
Our main task is to ensure that our customers have a smooth and easy shopping experience by ensuring that our goods are in the right place at the right time. We receive and handle goods in the warehouse, take care of replenishment in the department store and pick and pack orders for our customers. Here we work with our goods all the way from goods reception to sales point or directly to the customer. Of course, the customer experience is our focus throughout the chain.
In the position of Operational leader, you will work in operation together with other employees. On the days that you are an Operational leader, you will lead and distribute the work within the entire logistics function. The key in this role is to ensure staffing for today and tomorrow in a solution-oriented way to provide the right conditions and for operations to flow as smoothly as possible.
You actively lead the operation for the day, distribute tasks, coach and challenge the employees in the department to achieve a high result with the highest quality at the lowest possible cost. Through good cooperation with other Operational leaders and Team Leaders, you ensure that we achieve the business's goals in an efficient and safe way in our daily work. In close collaboration and dialogue with your manager, you will be trained in the role of a leader at IKEA.
The majority of the shifts start at 05:00, but some of the shifts are also placed in the evenings until 20:30 at the latest. Work every other weekend is included in the position. We assume that you enjoy these working hours and that you can get to and from IKEA Kållered at these times. It is not always possible to get to the store by public transport until 05:00 every day of the week, so it is important that you can get to work by other means, for example by bike, your own car or walking.

The position as Operational leader means a permanent employment of 30.6 hours/week including 6 months probationary period. You are employed as an employee (sales co-worker) with an addition for the extra responsibility that the position entails. Start date as soon as agreed.
