81021 "Operational Development" is a group within VCME Strategic Development department. Our main task is to develop, implement and maintain Manufacturing Engineering processes connected to VCC's product development logic GPDS (Global Product Development Process) and VCMS (Volvo Cars Manufacturing Systems).
Our main strategic areas are: Work processes for Global VCME, Reduce program leadtime, and Lean engineering (robust, standardized, waste free processes). The department works in close co-operation with similar functions within Research & Development and Volvo Cars Manufacturing.
Assignment
You will lead cross functional OD Projects from Concept to Implementation in order to improve the Manufacturing development process, supporting our strategic targets.
To report status and deviations towards OD/IT meeting and Process meeting.
Main responsibilities:
To define the scope for OD projects.
To deliver quality assured OD projects to the organization.
To secure a smooth implementation in the organization.
Authority:
To drive OD projects within agreed frames (Cost, time, delivery).
To decide all changes within the frames.
To lead work groups to achieve results.
Qualifications required:
Competence Requirements:
Master of Science in Engineering (e.g. mechanical, automation, IT).
Experience in the process development area.
Experience in project management and product development.
Personal profile:
Proven abilities to autonomously launch, drive and fulfill projects.
Good cooperating and networking skills.
Good communication skills, including a high level of spoken and written English.
Strong strategic and analytical abilities.
Structured working methods.
