Operational Buyer
Tires, Extended mobility & Functional plastic

Purchasing team Chassis is responsible for direct material to Volvo Cars Plants. We purchase material to new projects and running production for all Volvo Car Corporations manufacturing plants. Chassis purchasing team is working with some of the systems that makes a difference in a Volvo. We work within the areas brakes, steering, wheels and tires, fasteners and wheel suspension.
Job description
This fantastic team of 9 purchasers is now looking for a number 10. We strive for a positive attitude and having fun every day. We are working in the areas Brakes, Wheels & Tires and Fasteners. The team includes both category buyers as well as operational buyers. We have a highly open and energetic work environment where we continuously strive for improvement and welcome all kind of new and creative ideas.
As Operational Buyer you are responsible for the daily business with our suppliers and cross functional teams such as R&D, Supplier quality, logistics and capacity management. Within this area you will be involved in some of the most important implementations making a Volvo even better. We expect you to be the expert of you own business areas, where you will handle capacity, design changes and lead constraint issues. You will also contribute to the yearly negotiations and setting long-term purchasing strategies.

* Part of a Global Commodity Council

Required Qualifications
* Commercial or Technical University degree or equivalent
* Min. 2 year's relevant working experience or from purchasing
* Excellent Negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Computer Skills, MS Office and especially PowerPoint
Meritorious Qualifications
* Experience from the automotive industry
* Experience from R&D, logistics or Product strategy
Personal qualities
* Positive and flexible mind set
* Finding ways forward even when all facts are not available.
* Ability to independent drive and complete tasks
* Good skills in team cooperation
* Structured way of working
