Situated in Djursholm, a beautiful suburb of Stockholm, and enjoying an excellent reputation, the British International Primary School of Stockholm (BIPSS) is a vibrant and highly successful school. Meeting internationally recognised standards of excellence, the school is an Executive Member of the Council of British International Schools.
Our well-resourced school uses the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) together with the UK National Numeracy and Literacy Strategies to provide high quality learning opportunities, delivered in English, for our 250 children from Nursery to Year 7. We have interactive whiteboards and laptops in every classroom and specialist teachers for PE, Music and Swedish.
All applicants must: " be a native English speaker " have full Qualified Teacher Status (BEd or PGCE equivalent, preferably with Early Years specialism)- have a minimum two years' teaching experience - have a strong understanding of and commitment to excellent early years practice - be eligible to live and work in the EU. The candidates should also possess the following qualities: - knowledge of the UK Early Years Foundation Stage Framework - experience of curriculum change/development would be an advantage
committed to cross-curricular/investigative approaches to teaching and to personalised learning - a track record of improving and having a positive impact on children?s learning
a flexible team player with good interpersonal skills - the ability to work independently
a high standard of ICT skills - a willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities and general school life
