Network Implementation Manager
3G Infrastructure Services AB (3GIS) is owned in equal proportions by the mobile operators Telenor and 3. The company's mission is to build and operate the infrastructure that enables the owners to provide their customers with 3G services. 3GIS?s objective is to deliver the highest quality and most cost-effective network coverage possible to its owners, in line with their requirements. The work environment is both challenging and rewarding and is characterized by an open atmosphere.
The Position:
3GIS is looking for a Network Implementation Manager to manage the network implementation function. The Network Implementation Manager will report to the Chief Technical Officer. The Network Implementation Manager is responsible for forecasting and tracking Base Station (Node B) and Micro Wave link implementation progress (both new and upgrade of existing sites) in order to secure implementations are carried out in accordance with agreed lead times, quality standards and within budget. It is expected that the role will manage the implementation part of major network rollout and upgrade projects.
Ability and interest to drive and develop the relationship with 3GIS system vendor will be a key success factor. In addition to this, the role will have responsibility for maintaining and evolving the implementation process. This will be done in close cooperation with the Network Design and Network Infrastructure functions in 3GIS as well as 3GIS?s system vendor. Furthermore, the Network Implementation Manager will be 3GIS?s expert on the itemized HW & SW configurations and implementation services in use, and support the Network Design functions with expertise in this area. Support should also be given to 3GIS Procurement during RFQ preparation, evaluation and negotiations.
Place:
The role will be based in the 3GIS Stockholm Globen office. Some domestic travelling will be required.
Background:
• 5 years of experience from mobile operator in network planning, implementation operations or similar role
• Extensive experience from mobile network rollout or other expansion projects
• Good knowledge of system vendor telecom equipment such as NodeB and microwave links
• Experience as line manager or project manager is considered as a merit
• Structured and process oriented
• Strong analytical and decision skills
• Creative and solution oriented
• Strong focus on quality
• Good communication skills, verbal and written, in Swedish and English
• Self going with ability to drive issues and build co-operation across different functions in 3GIS? organisation as well as towards system vendors
