We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars' journey into the future.

Global Supply Chain - let's introduce ourselves
At Volvo Cars Global Supply Chain Management, we manage and develop a global inbound supply chain that is constantly evolving to be ready for the future. We do this in a lean and sustainable manner with a constant eye on new opportunities and developments. We care about people, safety, and sustainability in line with our brand promise.

At Inbound Logistics Engineering, we work together with internal and external stakeholders to find the best-in-class logistics solutions for our global inbound supply chain towards our production plants. We are a diverse global team based in Gothenburg, Shanghai and Charleston and we are now looking for an experienced engineer to complement our team in EMEA. The automotive logistics industry is a dynamic, competitive yet rewarding place to be with lots of challenges in the years ahead as the automotive industry is transforming to an electrified and sustainable future.

What you'll do
Join our team as a Network Design Expert, reporting directly to the Head of Inbound Engineering EMEA.

As a pivotal member of the Inbound Engineering department, a Network Design Expert play a crucial role in driving the realization of our strategy-building the most end-to-end efficient transport networks. In this role, you will either lead the development of our external network strategy, collaborating closely with stakeholders to craft a sustainable, innovative, and cost-efficient transport network, or you may focus on our internal manufacturing stakeholders and ensuring seamless Car program deliveries. In that role, you will be responsible for one or more of our EMEA manufacturing plants and, in close collaboration with Plant Supply Chain Engineering, drive the transformation of our logistics flows to reach ideal flow from an end-to-end perspective. Your responsibilities will also encompass ensuring the right flow design and strategies related to Inbound within our Car Programs where we design and prepare for our coming car models. Depending on the project, you will both lead and be part of cross functional teams with our key stakeholders.

While our current opening is manufacturing-centric, we actively encourage team members to explore both focus areas over time, fostering a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Do you fit the profile?
Education:
• University degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
• Proven track record in the field with some years of experience.
• Hands-on experience in inbound logistics for production plants or in-plant logistics with a logistics focus.
• Have previous experience in project management
Skills and Knowledge:
• Familiarity with lean concepts and a demonstrated ability to apply them effectively.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken

As an individual, you are self-driven and always striving to learn new things. You thrive in an environment that pushes you to analyze, optimize, and handle new and unknown challenges and opportunities. Your effective verbal and written communication skills enable you to be active in driving change together with your team.
