Network Communication Manager - Volvo Cars IT
Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) within Volvo Cars IT is in search of an experienced Network Communication Manager who can take our LAN and WAN services to the next level including our journey to the cloud. You will work with the full view of the service portfolio together with a team of Service Owners and IT Specialists (SMEs). Your role will focus on customer services, management and strategy, which all are important core elements with your work of supporting our business globally. This is a new role and you will have the possibility to create and develop its frames. The Network Communication Manager reports to Director of IMS and is a part of IMS Management Team.
IMS is a key part of Volvo Cars IT and provides approx 250 IT-infrastructure services worldwide towards end users-, application- and project customers. The department and its global service partners manages more than 1500 servers, 20.000 PCs, 16.000 phones, networks at 80 sites, links to 900+ dealers and 200+ suppliers, service desk and state of the art storage environments. You will have an important role for future development of IMS.
Job profile:
• Full responsibility for the Network Communication unit and the Network strategy globally
• Transfer technological prerequisites into actions
• Continuously strive for customer service development
• Define potential future technology and services
• Manage Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service management
• Responsible for the service information to the customer community
• Handle financial forecasting and re-charging
• Supplier negotiations and operations follow-up
• Enable change management
• Secure compliance to VCIT standards
• Lead, inspire and engage your team
Your profile:
• IT or Technical University degree or equivalent
• At least 5 years working experience in an international IT- environment
• Experience of Service Management in large international network- environments
• Network knowledge
• ITIL experience
• Strong leadership skills
• Business acumen and entrepreneurial ability
• Strategic understanding and visioning of IT
• Personal energy
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent in English and Swedish, written and spoken
