Mill Controller Ala
The Stora Enso Division Wood Products is a leading provider of innovative wood-based solutions. The product range covers all areas of construction, including massive wood elements and wood components. It also includes a variety of sawn timber goods and pellets for sustainable heating.
Ala Sawmill is located in Ljusne about 1.5 kilometers outside Söderhamn. The sawmill has about 135 employees and a couple of outsourced businesses with about 60 employees. The sawmill annually produces 370,000 m3 and has a further processing in a component factory as well as a pellet factory. Together with Gruvöns Sawmill in Grums, we form Stora Enso Timber AB in Sweden.
We are now looking for a Mill Controller to join us at our site in Ala. Someone with great interest and eager to face this challenge and opportunity!
Responsibilities & Tasks
You are part of the Mill Management Team and actively support other line managers in preparation of key decisions. This work involves pre-analysis, calculations, and business analysis. You are also a role model in guidelines and policies related to finance and controlling, as you set routines and ways of working and implement these. Furthermore, you are responsible for:
• Accurate preparation of financial and operative forecast for Mill Operations
• Secure accurate, correct and complete Monthly-, Quarterly- and Annual closing
• Ensure effective action planning and performance management process including financial and non-financial key initiatives and drivers
• Preparation of follow up analyzes and deviation reports
• Controlling support for Wood Procurement (guidelines, documentation)
• Support in preparation of major investments and focus unit actions
• Might also be part of national or international projects related to controlling, sharing the outcome with other controllers
Requirements
A financial, economy university degree with relevant content combined with a few years' working experience as controller. Experience from process industry and/or industrial production is advantageous. Very good skills in verbal and written Swedish and English are required.
As a person you are self-driven, proactive and have independent ownership of overall controlling related activities for Ala Mill, to enable business. You are the analytical numbers combined with a holistic view and operations knowledge. You consider yourself to be a structured and well-organized professional.
Also, as operative involvement and support to management team and mill personnel is part of the job, you are pedagogical and communicative, with the ability to simplify complex information.
