Position description:
At Manufacturing Engineering, you are part of a global Engineering team that makes sure that the engines we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. In close collaboration with colleagues in other business units, we develop and implement flexible and efficient manufacturing systems. The Group Tooling & Gauging is part of the section Manufacturing Engineering. The group's responsibility is to Implement, improve and maintain Tooling and Gauging system and documentation. We are searching for a Tooling Engineer with specialist knowledge and several year experience in metal cutting tools.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for the cutting tools and their impact on our engine components, both related to projects and problem solving in today's production.
• Support projects and production as expert in advanced tooling questions.
• Make investigations and tests of methods for different ways of machining.
• Design of special tools in cooperation with tool manufacturer.
• Follow tooling costs per produced part and collaborate with purchasing dept.
• Form strategies, methods and working tools in the tooling engineering area
Skills and required experience:
• Experience from metal cutting tools, preferably in the automotive business.
• Experience in cutting zone conditions.
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience.
• Used to handle contacts with cutting tool suppliers.
• Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Result oriented and used to manage deadlines.
• Analytical mind, methodical and a good problem solver.

• Strong ability for teamwork * B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent competence gained by experience.
