You are a medical doctor with a specialty within the area of geriatric. If also specialist within internal medicine it is meritorious. It is desirable with working experience within the geriatric speciality.
We are looking for you who are curious about a new workplace, and want to be able to get the chance to work with the entire geriatric medicine area in an environment where you have space to develop according to your own wishes and conditions.
The department of Internal Medicin and Geriatric Care is a developing clinic where we nurse patients who are in need of specialized internal medicine and geriatric rehabilitation. The clinic has a history of innovative, systematic and evidence-based quality management with patient needs in focus. The clinic is ISO-certified according to ISO 9001:2015 since 2014.
Our offer
We offer you an employment with opportunities to take part in the development of the clinic, you also get the opportunity to work with your own area of responsibility at the clinic, based on your interests and wishes. As a specialist doctor at the Department of Geriatric, you will be working at the inward as well as outward. There are 11 beds inwards, the outward includes reception of memory- Parkinson- and osteoporosis. Two geriatricians and two resident physicians in geriatrics work at the clinic, the clinical work is mainly together in multiprofessional teams.
As a specialist doctor, you are a front person who stand for good approach and good collaboration as well as in the clinic as in between the clinics at the hospital. Tutoring students is also part of the job, as also taking part in different networks; locally, in region but also national. The role also includes work with the amputation process and rehabilitation of amputees and elderly patients with fractures. This work takes place in collaboration with the orthopedic clinic.

Eksjö is known as "the unic wooden town" and is located at the highland of Småland. Here it is close to the nature with great running tracks and ski trails around the corner. The nature is wonderful and filled with various experiences for everyone. It is a great town with good schools for children of all ages and also a gymnasium for the elder ones. All with good reputation due to good results in education.
