The homogenizer Technical Product Management group in business stream Liquid Food Components is now recruiting a Mechanical designer to work in our Technical team. Homogenizer is one of four key components in business stream Liquid Food Components. The brand name for our homogenizers and high pressure pumps for liquid food is Tetra Pak Homogenizers®. Homogenisation is a process that affectively reduces the size of solid particles and liquid globules, improving the quality and stability of the treated product. Tetra Pak Homogenizers® and high pressure pumps are specially designed for liquid food applications.
What you will do
As our new Mechanical Designer you will work independently as well as a part of a team with technical design in Creo, technical investigations and technical support. You will work in a dynamic organisation where you as a member of our technical development and engineering team on daily basis will have contact with the supply organisation, suppliers and our production canters in Lund and in Shanghai.
You will focus on:
• Be the expert of mechanical design in customer orders throughout the order process
• Optimise design for production and assembly * Mechanically structure products and compose detail design that enables rational production
• Give technical support to our sales organisation
• Participate in development of our portfolio (Product Development Before Launch, PDBL)
• Work with improvement of activities of existing portfolio (Product Development After Launch, PDAL)
• Design of components and virtual simulations in Creo and other relevant software's, mainly in the area of FEM calculation
• Interact, drive and cooperate with relevant external partners and suppliers in the area of mechanical design
• Secure design quality This position will be located in Lund, but you will work in a global arena. You will travel approximately 10% of your time.
Who you are
We believe that you have a personal drive with the ability to meet set targets. It is important that you have a creative mind with a strong interest of continuously improvements, technical challenges and innovative solutions. You are a team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. We are looking for a candidate that have the proven ability to propose and describe new advanced designs. You are a service-minded person with high liability and excellent communication skills. You can work independently as well as with others. You need to be a socially skilled individual with a strong ability to adjust. We believe you have a University degree/ diploma in Mechanical engineering and at least 5 years experience in working with Mechanical Design. Experience from the food industry is a merit. A high proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
