Job Summary
Do you want to bring your skills within technology development to the next level?
D&T Industrial Base Engineering is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing world class packaging material and converting solutions, enabling Tetra Pak to deliver competitive packaging solutions with a clear performance focus.
The Material Treatment, Finishing & Blank fed department within IBE is responsible for Process, Equipment and Competence of our converting process. We deliver results in the forefront of development within the area of expertise.
To sharpen us even more we are now looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer to strengthen our Tetra Recart development.
The position will be in Lund, but you will work in a global arena. Some travels are required, mainly in Europe.
What you will do
You will be part of an experienced and agile team and you will focus on:
Lead and participate in development activities by designing and innovating machine solutions
Drive root cause investigations to understand problems and improve performance and functionality
Interact and cooperate with suppliers and manufacturers around mechanical design
Support virtual engineering team with models using parametric design
Support the team and factory with layout design
We believe you have
To be successful in this position, you have several years working experience within mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing industry. You have a minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar. You have proven ability and deep knowledge to propose and describe new advanced designs. You have a good understanding in manufacturing techniques. Experience in hygienic design, robust design methodology and knowledge in Creo and AutoCAD will be a plus.
You are collaborative and flexible and have excellent communication skills. You have a strong drive for results, are passionate about your work and take ownership of your activities. You build and maintain successful relations with your colleagues, important stakeholders and external partners. A high proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
