Do you want to be part of developing and leading us in to the next generation of AWD systems? We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Role Description
The key responsibility of this role will be the development and design of market leading All Wheel Drive (AWD) systems for various automotive and commercial applications with respect to function, cost, efficiency, and produce ability. You will have the ability to take full system responsibility and lead other design engineers to drive the work forward. In this role you will be working closely with other departments to specify and document development requirements, quality and performance levels. In this role you will also support cost reductions and product improvements of currently-produced driveline products. Furthermore, this role supports customer development and participates in troubleshooting of production and customer problems.
Qualifications / Experience / Skills
• MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study with relevant experience, automotive industry experience being a plus.
• Advanced technical understanding of mechanical components and engineering processes.
• Experience of product design and release.
• Engineering experience in a tooling manufacturing environment with high volumes.
• Knowledge within vehicle dynamics is considered an advantage.
• Experience in CAD and PDM required.
• Experience with CATIA and Windchill is preferable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal. German language skill is a plus.
• Good social skills, the ability to create effective networks and work in teams or independently.
• Positive mindset.
• Domestic and international travel is required.
