Work within a team of mechanics and in close collaboration with test engineers to prepare, develop, instrument, & perform a variety of complete vehicle tests. This may include prototype development, mechanical labor, vehicle retrofits, inspections and functional verification of vehicles being prepared for test.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Prepare trucks and/or rigs for testing. This includes parts retrofit and/or instrumentation
Instrument trucks before tests
De-instrument and return trucks to stock condition after testing
Re-built trucks before tests and restore the truck after test
Strive for continuous improvement
Assist in keeping the workshop clean and organized
Occasional travel to support offsite testing, in North o Sweden and in Spain
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Minimum high school diploma
Minimum 5 years of truck service or truck industry experience
Knowledge in measurement system set up
Complete understanding of heavy-duty trucks/trailer systems and functionss
Experience with schematics and electrical troubleshooting
Experience with service tools, diagnostic equipment
Proficient spoken and written English
Strong collaboration skills
Strong communication skills
Working knowledge of safety practices in a shop environment
Driving licens C is requied, CE and D is meritorious.
