Materials & Chemistry Centre (MACC) is an independent department within Alfa Laval working with materials and chemistry related questions. We are located in both Tumba and Lund. We are now looking for a metallic materials specialist to the Tumba site.
Responsibilities:
MACC is an independent support function within Alfa Laval. We are working with material related consulting commissions close to R&D, purchase, production, market segments and from external companies. Some commissions are finished within a few days, while others extend over a longer period of time.
Typical tasks for the position are:
• Failure and corrosion investigations
• Give advice in material selection
• Perform mechanical testing
• Use SEM/EDS for investigations
• Acts as materials specialist in concept- and product development projects
Qualifications:
We believe that you have some years of experience of similar work combined with a University degree in Materials science or equivalent.
Experience about stainless steel, SEM/EDS, metallography, corrosion and mechanical testing is qualifying.
To be successful you have to be open-minded, thorough, analytical, a good team-player and be able to communicate in both Swedish and English fluently.
