Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
We offer effective solutions for surveillance and for detection, location and protection against different types of threats. Our product portfolio ranges from airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic support measures and self-protection systems.For increased flight mission efficiency and flight safety we supply mission avionics and safety critical avionics computers for both civil and military customers. Electronic Defence Systems employs 2,600 staff inSweden, Norway, South Africa and the USA.
Your future challenge
Your role will involve developing and running marketing communications for our business area’s products and expertise, working strategically and operatively. You will work closely with managers and staff within the Marketing and Sales function, providing support for the organisation.
You will report to the business area’s head of communications and you will work closely with other communications staff within the business area, inSwedenas well as inSouth Africaand theUSA. You will also work closely with marketing communications staff in other business areas as well as with those who work at corporate level.
Duties will include:
• Developing a marketing communications plan for our product areas
• developing and running channels and tools for marketing communications, from printed materials to events, online content and film
• project managing exhibitions and conferences
• contributing to quotes with your communications expertise
• communications planning to support major sales campaigns
• participating in the development of the business area’s communications function, and, when required, contributing to other areas within the function.
Todays demands
You have an academic qualification within communications and/or marketing, or equivalent, as well as experience of successfully handling marketing communications strategically and operatively in B2B company. You have the ability to connect communications and business value in practical terms and you are a motivated person with the ability to achieve goals and put ideas and improvements into practice
You are a good communicator verbally and in writing. You have a creative personality, enjoy collaborating with others and you are good at creating good working relationships across organisational borders. Experience from an international company is desirable.
