Global Consumer Experience (GCE) is an umbrella structure built up by three main areas - (1) Global Strategy, Brand & Retail, (2) Vehicle Line Management and (3) Group IT. We are responsible for securing attractive consumer offerings, both in terms of what we offer: cars and services, and how we offer them: a seamless consumer journey and development of the business model. We now seek a Market Intelligence Analyst!
A person with a curious mind set and a strong drive to develop new insights that can support business decisions. You mostly apply quantitative analysis but when appropriate you know how to add insights from qualitative sources.

Who are we?
Market Intelligence (MI) is the unique provider of vital information and insights on consumers, competitors and markets within Volvo Car Group. MI guides and influences all major Volvo Car Group business decisions with its knowledge, conclusions and recommendations on consumers, competitors and markets.

The Market Intelligence department is a global organization and a part of Product Strategy, GCE. You will report to the Senior Manager MI Headquarter Team, based in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities
* Perform analysis on wide variety of data and process improvement opportunities; uncover trends, creating and distributing various metrics, reports and dashboards
* Provide decision-support to business people and managers by advanced analyses of data, building predictive models to support the analytical needs
* Effectively translate analytical findings into the language of decision makers; communicate findings effectively supported by visual representations

* Mentoring colleagues with less data science and analytics experience
* Provide expert advice and education in the usage and interpretation of the data to the organization

Requirements
* M Sc in applied mathematics and, statistics or related area, or similar competence acquired outside the Universities
* Minimum 4 years of analytics experience - statistical knowledge and experience for solving business questions
* Good IT skills and an understanding of programming
* Ability to cooperate and communicate on all levels and lead your own work forward
* Being extrovert, curious and having excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to convince by storytelling.

In this role we see a creative person. You need to be able to see every problem from different angles to provide the best solution with a combination of mathematical rigor and innovative algorithm design. You are good at prioritizing, focus on the important conditions in every case.

The position is temporary from as soon as possible through 31st of March 2019.
