Vacancy: Marine Driver

The incumbent operates a passenger vehicle to transport the Marine Security Guards (MSGs) on a 24-hour basis. The incumbent is, under the supervision of the Detachment Commander, responsible to be on stand-by to be able to: Transport MSGs to and from the Embassy for duty changes. Transport MSGs for official Detachment related business, social functions, and recreational activities. Keep the vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition and perform daily vehicle inspections and minor preventive maintenance. Transport MSGs to and from the Embassy for Emergency Reaction purposes. Other duties as assigned by the Detachment Commander.

Education: Completion of secondary school, high school or GED equivalent. Prior Work Experience: At least 21 years old with 1 to 2 years of driving experience to have a good geographical knowledge of Stockholm and surrounding area. An understanding of the Stockholm traffic patterns is a must. Post Entry Training: Swedish driver's license Class B Language proficiency: Level 3 (Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. Level 3 (Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Swedish is required. Skills and Abilities: Must be able to use good, sound judgment on safely operating a vehicle. Must have knowledge of proper vehicle maintenance and cleaning procedures.

Anställningen är en "When actually employed" anställning som betyder att man arbetar när behovet finns. Fyller in vid sjukdomar, semestrar, etc. Arbetet innebär både natt och dag skift samt även helger.
