Manager Roller Bearings Product Development Specials
As the Manager of Roller Bearing Product Development Specials within Technology Development, you will have a key role in shaping the future of SKF's engineering solutions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for calculation and simulation that ensures innovation, efficiency, and quality in our product development. You will also lead and support a team of professionals who use state-of-the-art simulation tools to verify new designs and analyze tolerance settings. You will collaborate with global stakeholders from various departments in SKF and leverage digitalization to integrate standards and specifications into the digital engineering value chain.
Key responsibilities
Establishing and communicating a clear vision and strategy for calculation and simulation within technology development, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
Leading, coaching, and developing a team of highly skilled engineers and specialists who perform simulations and calculations to validate new designs, optimize performance, and reduce costs.
Collaborating with other and provide them with reliable and accurate simulation results and recommendations.
Driving the digitalization and automation of calculation and simulation processes, tools, and methods, leveraging the latest technologies and innovations to enhance efficiency and quality.
Conducting and supporting risk assessment and decision-making based on simulation data and evidence.
Requirements
Experience in a leading role and supporting people.
Master of Science degree in the Engineering field or similar
Broad technical understanding and interest in calculation and simulations
Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other departments and senior management.
Experience in conducting simulations/testing and connecting analysis to product performance and design rules.
Previous experiences from working in fields like Project management, Research and Development, Application Engineering, Bearing Development, or Manufacturing is beneficial.

The position will be located in Gothenburg Sweden.
You will report to the Manager of Roller Bearing Product Development and Engineering, who is located in Schweinfurt, Germany.
