If yes, you can be our new Manager in the External Logistics team at AkzoNobel in Stenungsund. The position is temporary and will last until the end of August 2018. You will have 3 direct reports and be involved in exciting improvement projects.
In the role you will develop and implement effective strategies related to logistics and transports in line with business needs. You are also responsible for the logistics processes within the business unit, including transport purchasing. In our team you will find a friendly atmosphere, solid knowledge and the opportunity to influence our ways of working.
Main responsibilities
Responsible for the transport purchasing in Surface Chemistry EMEIA and the Service Level Agreement with AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals on transport purchasing
Follow up on transporters performance and lead meeting with them
Notify internal Marketing and Planning department of significant transport price trends and changes in availability
Environmental reporting
Participates in development projects
Management and development of transport booking process & system
Responsible for creating a stimulating and developing working climate including good communication and information both within and between departments
Responsible for involvement and motivation of employees, ensures timeliness and quality of the work within the department
Job requirements / Candidate profile
Master degree within logistics or equal and 3-5 years of experience in relevant field
Or 8+ years of experience in relevant field
Leadership experience
Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
Strong communication, analytical and inter personal skills

This is a temporary position until August 2018 on a full time basis, reporting to the Customer Service & Logistics Manager EMEIA and based in Stenungsund.
