We are now looking for the Manager of the Connectivity team.
You will have an operative and strategic responsibility
The Product Development unit is developing complete power systems for industrial and marine applications. We at the Design engineering department are responsible for the mechanical and electrical system and the control system for the whole driveline system. Our everyday opportunity and challenge is to both perform to keep today's products competitive and transform to create new solutions for our customers - both on land and at sea. When targeting the next generation products and services the focus and demands increase on the connectivity solution and a new team for Connectivity is created. It is a small team with committed persons located in Gothenburg.
We have only seen a few glimpses of what will come. Would you like to be a part of defining a new era within our industry? As the Manager Connectivity you will take an active role in shaping the Connectivity solution for Volvo Penta together with your team and stakeholders. You and your team will work in close cooperation with people in other functions both within Volvo Penta and within Volvo group to secure the optimized end to end solution for our business. The Connectivity team contributes to roadmaps for new solutions and is responsible for requirement, development, verification and support of the Volvo Penta connectivity solution from a product development perspective throughout the whole lifecycle.
You will have a leading people responsibility
You will lead and develop the team as well as each individual in the team. You will take an active role in the management team and drive improvements both on a team level and on an organization level. We believe in the power of teamwork and together with your team and your stakeholders you will define the way forward, both in terms of technical solution and way of working. You will also:
Secure the team competence and delivery to meet project and program targets
Have engineering responsibility of the solution and it 's features and be the centre of topics concerning your technical area
Establish a network of stakeholders to cover the end to end perspective
Have the financial responsibility for the department budget as well as for other smaller projects

You have experience from product development and project management areas and you are familiar with agile way of working. You have a drive to develop your team, the organization and yourself. You are the person who acts with a clear sense of ownership and you have strong networking and communication skills, English and Swedish. In addition we believe you have an academic education within the engineering area.
