Manager Co-Packer

The Absolut Company is recruiting a Manager Co-Packer to join the Malibu & Kahlúa Operations Team The Operations Malibu & Kahlúa Team is looking for an experienced operations professional that will be responsible for the ongoing management of co-packer activities (QSE, audits, oversee production, performance reporting, customer service, etc.) in rest of the world (ROW), excl. Americas.
Purpose of the position:
• To continue driving an effective industrialization of packaging projects for Malibu & Kahlua brands
• taking the lead ensuring the creation and maintenance of accurate and functional packaging specifications in collaboration with suppliers, co-packer, and procurement to achieve optimum and, operational efficiency.
• Regular Follow-up supply chain implementation, interact with New Product Development team and activities for new products launches. .
• Follow-up supply chain implementation, interact with NPD organization with NPD activity for new launches.
• To secure performance with co-packers from cost and quality point of view.
• Ensure all specification approvals are achieved and system databases updated in time to meet project deadlines at co-packers.
• Identify and document milestones for assigned projects.
• Provide clear and concise direction for actions for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in regular meetings with Marketing & Operations to review project milestones, identify risks & opportunities, and agree next required actions.
What will you do:
- Ensure that all necessary documentation regarding produced brands is available for co-packers .
• Support M&K Business Support Manager by participating in key-market SC-meetings..
• Support Global Co-Pack Director by participating in or lead Quarterly review meetings with co-packers.
• Provide internal and external customers with packaging specifications by maintaining accurate records for new and modified M&K components.
• Propose modifications to existing packaging for M&K to improve production efficiency, reduce scrap, improve logistics or reduce cost.
• Liaise with purchasing teams to ensure required information and approvals are in place for PO's to be issued. (Packaging for line trials, sales samples, and product launch.) .
• Delegation from NPD Director when required by attending supplier press approvals, glass sampling, packaging trials, 1st production runs validate artwork, specifications, and full package compliance ensuring supplier capability meets the operational expectation.
Qualifications and key capabilities .
• University Degree in Engineering. (Preference),
• University Degree in Business with Production/Packaging experience (minimum).
• Formal credentials in Continuous Improvement an asset.
• Minimum 5 years' production- and or packaging manager experience in an FMCG Environment required .
• Proficient in MS suite (Word, Excel, Project etc.) .
• Strong Brand knowledge an advantage .
• Experience of metal containers (cans) an advantage .
• Minimum 3-5 years in Project Management. .
• 20-40%-time allocation to travel. .
• Strong communication skills .
• High attention to details, and high integrity and sterling values
