In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development of central maintenance areas and CNC machine shops in line with the project's scope.
Development and growth of a central maintenance teams and processes.
Delivering the project scope through cross functional development and tracking of the cross functional project timelines.
Prepare and manage engineering projects to include specification, design, life cycle, cost, equipment selection planned maintenance programmes, and the preparation of and review of tender documentations of tooling and equipment.
Manage, develop and assess the performance of local and overseas suppliers to ensure correct outcomes.
Oversee Tooling trials, troubleshooting, problem solving and transitioning tools from trial to full production.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies / alternative tooling processes to reduce tooling costs.
Provide Tooling & maintenance support to new Giga Factories.
Accomplish department objectives by planning and evaluating department activities.
Ensures a safe, secure and fun place to work.
Manage the Capex and Opex annual budgets.
Required education/experience:
Tooling Expert with Minimum of 10 + years in Maintenance or Engineering within Battery manufacturing Technology sector.
Knowledge of Cell assembly, Formation & aging processes.
Exceptional knowledge of Electrode cutting and joining techniques.
Expert in CNC & Manual machining, WEDM.
Experience in leading and building teams of Engineers & technicians.
Experience in leading Tool & mould design change process.
Strong mechanical Engineering experience with a hands-on approach.
Must have developed and mentored junior/entry level engineers.
Must have worked in multi-cultural environment.
Project/Program management tool kit including scheduling and project leadership.
Proficient with office software, PLM & ERP systems and other company applications.
