Bleaching Chemicals is one of three global sub business units within AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals. We are the world's largest manufacturer of sodium chlorate and one of the largest producers of hydrogen peroxide. We supply essential chemicals to the global pulp industry and other selected industries from 24 locations worldwide. Our head office is located in Marietta, Georgia, USA and we employ 950 people.

Both Sodium Chlorate and Hydrogen Peroxide are produced at the Alby site, which is located just outside Ånge in Västernorrland. Around 100 people are employed in Alby.

Maintenance Manager PPC Alby

Responsibility
As Maintenance Manager you are responsible to ensure cost efficient operations of the maintenance processes and department for the chlorate and hydrogen peroxide plants in Alby. Key objectives are Safety, Efficiency (cost), Quality, Asset integrity and project execution.

You report directly to the Site Manager and are responsible for about 20 people with 10 employees reporting directly, in the areas of maintenance operations and engineering.

Example of tasks and responsibilities:
Leads, manages and develops the maintenance organization
Ensures that the maintenance operations is being performed according to applicable laws and permits as well as AkzoNobel policies regarding Health, Safety and Environment.
Develops the maintenance processes and skills of the maintenance department towards a world class maintenance.

Job requirements
Bachelors degree of Engineering or equivalent
More than 3 year?s experience in management of maintenance and projects
Excellent skills in Swedish and English, writing and oral communication
Driver license

The position requires that you live in the Ånge community or in the vicinity, the position also requires some travelling.

As a member of the local management team in Alby, reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in the continued success of the Alby site.
