Experis IT is looking for a Mainframe Specialist for an exciting 6 months consultancy assignment with good chance of extension. The position is Nordic but will be placed in Stockholm. The assignment starts immediately, don't hesitate to send your application today!
The role
We are searching for an experienced and dedicated Mainframe Specialist with solution oriented attitude that can develop and maintain infrastructure related to Mainframe environments in a cost effective manner. You will report to Nordic Mainframe platform manager and be a member of team of 4-5 specialists. As The Mainframe Specialist you will be part of the Mainframe Specialist team, reporting to the Nordic Mainframe Platform manager.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain infrastructure related to Mainframe environments in a cost effective manner
• Overall operational monitoring when it comes to capacity or license limitations in our contracts.
• Assist all countries with CPU/MIPS related abnormalities
• Drive and follow up ongoing activities from our IT Supplier
• Follow-up and report cost for IT infrastructure
• Defining Soft Capping limits for LPARs, Service Groups, CPU limitations for CPU usage, IMS requests, DB2 requests
Desired Skills and Experience
• Understanding and knowledge of Mainframe technology, infrastructure and application development
• Structured and analytical, and able to create an overview of complex situations
• Excellent communication-, cooperation- and negotiation skills
• A team player and a good colleague
• Able to work under pressure and prioritize
• Very good at building a network with stakeholders
• Active in learning new things and taking on new challenges
• Enthusiastic, innovative and self-driven personality
• Tools like CA-Examine and Strobe
• Fluent in English, both written and oral.
To be successful in this position you are a confident team player, self-driven, but equipped with a good co-operation skills. An ability to work under pressure and solution oriented mindset is required.
