• Actively participates as a member of the Global Product Group team in development of the business strategy and priorities.
• In support of the Global PG strategy, develops and implements local strategic initiatives that drive profitable growth in the domestic and allocated markets.
2. Operational Performance
• Fully supports Business Reviews with the Global PG and follows up on action plans.
• Define action plans to bring organization and competences for the LPG to the right level in order to satisfy business/mandate requirements.
• Fully supports all OPEX initiatives and associated reporting, including OTD, OPQ and implementation of cost reduction projects.
• Closely monitors productivity for the Local PG and drives continuous improvement activities.
• Based on Global PG strategy, promotes and develops a Center of Excellence concept and nominates dedicated experts for execution support.
3. Targets & Budget
• Ensures achievement of assigned performance targets through regular oversight and implementation of improvement actions as needed.
• Fully owns the Local Product Group P&L, proposing annual budget targets that ensure profitable growth in line with the strategy.
4. Growth - Organic & Inorganic
• Defines the PIE strategic and portfolio plan (3-5 year) for the Local PG in alignment with the Global PG strategy.
• Proposes M&A and partnering initiatives in order to support a consistent and systematic growth strategy.
5. Customer Collaboration & Market Opportunities
• Builds and retains long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers, both external and internal, to support profitable growth and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
• Coordinates the local customer strategic approach through relevant initiatives.
• Evaluates market opportunities and decides on appropriate activities in line with the strategy.
6. Product Management
• Fully supports the product management strategy of the Global PG in view of organization, productization/ modularization of "product/solution offering", follow up on new products/solutions roadmap, and development of go-to-market plans.
• Proposes R&D projects, including budget, to the Global PG and supports the implementation of approved projects with the required resources.
7. Standards & Governance
• Fully complies with the Risk Review process for thresholds relevant to the Local PG including negotiations.
• Fully supports assessment process for consulting units and agrees on mandate/qualification levels and action plans to achieve operational excellence.
8. Learning & Sharing
• Collaborates with the Global PG and other Local PG's in support of profitable growth and achievement of both local and global targets.
• Collaborates with other parts of the local organization to secure the best results for the LPG, PG, BU, Division and ABB Group.
9. HSE & Integrity
• Ensures all LPG activities strictly adhere to HSE and Integrity standards and regulations.
• Ensures full implementation of all HSE initiatives and training, including required reporting.
• Achieves all assigned HSE targets, including SOT's and identification of hazards.
10. People Leadership & Development
• Maintains an overview of talent/potential and builds a pipeline to support the resourcing needs of the LPG and/or the PG.
• Proposes resource plans and individual hiring requests to the Global Product Group in accordance with plans.
• Ensures that the Local PG is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.
• Electrical Engineering degree required, advanced degrees preferred (Masters, PhD, MBA)
• Profit & loss (P&L) business experience preferred
• Extensive experience & knowledge of the electric power industry & market
• Management and leadership of a highly skilled technical staff
• Developing strong customer and partner relationships, both external and internal
• Power systems expertise and equipment knowledge
• Commercial skills, including pricing and negotiating
• Written and oral fluency in Swedish and English
