Are you passionate about logistics and supply chain optimization?
We are seeking a Logistics Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives and pre-studies related to logistics development. Reporting to the Production Development Manager, you'll operate in a cross-functional production context. You'll collaborate with Production Line Managers, Production Planners, Quality Managers, and other stakeholders.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our manufacturing process. With a high level of cross-functional collaboration and a variety of tasks, you'll be at the forefront of driving efficiency and excellence.
Your responsibilities
You'll play a crucial role in enhancing our warehouse management systems (WMS) by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
You'll work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize material flow, ensuring efficient processes and timely replenishment based on demand and sequence.
Defining packaging requirements for incoming materials is a critical aspect of this role. You'll collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective packaging solutions.
Managing day-to-day coordination for securing critical material deliveries, including third-party storage arrangements, will be part of your responsibilities.
You'll actively contribute to the development of delivery key performance indicators (KPIs), such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Supplier Required On-Time Delivery (ROTD). Additionally, you'll drive initiatives to optimize inventory turnover, reduce material storage costs, and minimize poor quality expenses (e.g., handling damage, incoming material defects).
Your background
We are seeking candidates with a master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field of Engineering.
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is essential.
Demonstrated expertise in applying industrial principles for material replenishment, including JIT, 2-bin, Kitting, and Kanban.
Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset are crucial.
Previous work experience in the manufacturing industry or logistics development is highly desirable.
Fluency in Swedish and a medium to advanced level of English are required.
We value team players with a positive attitude, a genuine interest in continuous improvement, and a data-driven decision-making approach.
