hela Sverige We are now looking for a financial manger for assignments to ADB Safegate in Malmö. The assignment is full-time starting ASAP and runs until March 2023. Task Assignment:
The Local Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the financial reporting appropriately reflects the activities of each Group entity. He/she has oversight over IFRS reporting / financial statements, local / statutory financial statements, tax compliance and other financial reporting requirements for the legal entities (LE) under his/her responsibility.
While the Local Finance Manager is accountable for local / statutory financial statements' accuracy his/her oversight duty does not replace the responsibility of the entity's departments to ensure that their operations are accurately accounted for in compliance with rules governing financial reporting (timely and correct invoicing, correct time sheets reporting, timely and correct handling of goods receipts, ...).
Local Finance Manager's responsibilities consist of:
• Understand business activities and their correct reflection in IFRS and local GAAP (statutory) reporting
• Ensure accuracy of LE's local financial statements (statutory/IFRS reporting and direct/indirect tax reporting)
• Ensure timely submission of local/statutory financial statements in accordance with local regulations
• Manage timely monthly closings in line with instructions from Group Accounting, Consolidation, and Reporting Department
• Ensure timely, accurate and exhaustive submission of IFRS reporting to the Group consolidation and reporting system i.e. Sigma in accordance with Group accounting principles
• Review LE's monthly results and explain main variances versus Budget, Forecast and Prior Year performance and provide Group Accounting, Consolidation and Reporting Department with comments on relevant accounting topics based on the LE's P&L and Balance sheet analysis
• Perform comprehensive reconciliations between IFRS reporting and local / statutory financial statements and explain / support potential differences
• Compliance with any other local financial requirements (e.g. statistical reporting, Central Bank reporting, compliance with Government incentives, etc.) and obligations (e.g. subsidies, energy tax, ...)
• Ensure timely and accurate cash forecasting for the LE
• Lead the audit of the local / statutory financial statements
• Lead the audit of the IFRS financial statements and additional information (i.e. notes to the financial statements) for Group consolidation and reporting purposes for LE that are in full scope audit
• Be accountable for delivering group reporting package to the local component auditor in a timely, accurate and exhaustive manner within the framework of the annual Group audit
• Manage local tax audits in close coordination with Group Corporate Tax Department and tax advisors
• Seek guidance on IFRS (Group Accounting Manual or Group Accounting, Consolidation and Reporting Director), local Gaap and tax regulations for new business cases to ensure compliant execution and implementation
• Ensure correct transfer pricing adjustments and royalty calculations in line with corporate transfer pricing rules and methodologies
• Ensure an Equity level compliant with local regulations at any time and reach out to the Group in case of a need for a share capital increase
• Ensure that internal controls are in place to detect that all departments are following required processes and ensure their operations are accurately accounted for. Should a gap be identified, escalate the point to the Managing Director and the relevant department head who are responsible for taking immediate mitigating actions
• Escalate compliance risks to The Managing Director and The Finance Director in charge of Subsidiaries' Accounting, Collection and Process Improvement and the Group Accounting, Consolidation and Reporting Director.
Define an action plan to address the compliance risk and highlight where help is needed.
• Ensure compliance with the internal control framework which will be deployed globally. Lead the implementation of new corporate policies and guidelines at local level.
• Be responsible for project controlling, follow up on opening and closing projects in line with global guidelines
• Ensure cash collection in line with cash collection organization principles
• Credit management - manage credit insurance and credit lines (for countries where relevant), responsible to release order intake or delivery blocks in line with company guidelines
• Support organization on bank guarantees in line with the standard operating procedure and letters of credit (LC)
• Handling agent commission and payment releases. Any deviation from contract would require group compliance officer approval.
The Local Finance Manager may have additional responsibilities outside the Finance area (e.g. HR, Legal, ...) in agreement with the Managing Director and subject to the approval from the Finance Director in charge of Subsidiaries' Accounting, Collection and Process Improvement or the Group CFO.
The Local Finance Manager will report directly to the Managing Director. He / she has the responsibility to support the Local Finance Manager and his/her Finance team.
The Local Finance Manager will report dotted line to the Finance Director in charge of Subsidiaries' Accounting, Collection and Process Improvement.
Who are you?
You have completed a degree in economics and has at least 5 years of experience working with similar tasks. ADB Safegate works in the financial system SAP, it is very meritorious if you have experience of it.
As a person, you see what needs to be done and implement it. You are easy to work with and are unpretentious. You are three people in the finance department, where you help each other and support where needed and capture even things that are not part of your role.
You speak and write fluent English.
