We are now looking for a System Designer with a SW developer background and a profile towards open source environment to join the Chipset and Software Technology unit in Lund, Sweden.
A role that allows for innovative thinking and the challenge of being in the technical frontline in turning solutions into proof of concept.
Our task includes building competence with hands on work and sharing it with our colleagues, what is noise and what is innovation and a solid trend. Challenge old and existing thoughts on how to build networks, challenge how to implement cloud solutions.
We look at container technologies and container management solutions, virtualization and hypervisors. Explore how to keep it secure and at the same time give bare metal performance. How to scale in a RAN (Radio Access Network) compared to cloud. Evaluate 3:rd party solutions and challenge their statements and roadmaps, make recommendations on how to proceed.
By working with the cloud components and solutions in a RAN context we learn how to both run RAN SW on cloud infrastructure and how to incorporate RAN HW solutions into a cloud infrastructure and run cloud software on it.
Position Qualifications:
You are confident in solving complex technical questions across organizations as part of a small team. Your contributions span from early feasibility all the way to implementation.
You are analytical, structural and result oriented. You will find creative solutions when lacking information and act outside your formal area of responsibility when needed.
Experience of cloud development with containers and container management, hypervisors and virtualization is meritorious.
As a person you should be self-motivated, positive, and outgoing, a team player with strong analytical skills. You should also have the ability to motivate, coordinate and coach others to success.
Required Competence / Experience:
• Linux, networking, DPDK, SRVIO, OVS
• Git, Python, go, bash, C++
• Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker, Rocket, KVM, XEN,
• Ability to find and drive continuous improvement work
• Good communications skills and a relationship builder
• Fluent in written and spoken English
Technical education on university level and documented technical leadership skills are required.
We believe you have a M.Sc. degree within computer science and have experience of open source development
