At the department General Counsel, we're globally responsible for enabling the business to take risk informed and balanced decisions across all legal disciplines, and we do this by providing qualitative legal support. Your mission - translating legal matters to business advantages to enable confident decisions
As Legal Counsel, you have an important role in providing the Business Areas (BA) R&D and departments with legal advice, and you engage in developing global templates, training and processes. You support business critical technology projects, negotiations on framework purchase and supply contracts with key suppliers and oversee management of certain disputes including IP infringements.
In this position, you report directly to the General Counsel, Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology BA. Some international travel is a natural part of the job and the location for this position is Sweden or Finland.
Your character - a confident legal professional with a solid understanding of business drivers
We're looking for someone with a law degree and the appropriate legal qualifications in one or more international jurisdictions. You have experience gained within a top-tier law firm and/or at an in-house legal function of a multinational company working with Information Technology and IP. On top of this, it's advantageous if you have experience in the mining, construction or manufacturing sectors, as well as M&A and/or Dispute Resolution experience. As we work internationally you need excellent English skills, verbally and in writing.
To succeed in this role, you also need:

• Proven delivery of pragmatic and business-
oriented solutions to legal matters and problems
