Legal Analyst China

The section Powertrain OBD and Dependability, within Complete Powertrain, has the mission to ensure that the development of the next generation engines reflects our brand essence of 'Designed Around You' and that all legal and customer attributes regarding OBD and Powertrain dependability are met. All activities aim to deliver world class OBD and dependability. Currently the section includes approximately 100 employees, organised in six groups. Our group consists of 14 dedicated engineers and is mainly working with legal requirements, requirement setting and verification in the last development phase. We perform OBD and emission pre-homologation for all markets and in all projects. OBD homologation procedures are getting more divergent per market, since the different countries set their specific demands. China is a growing market and consequently we have a lot of cooperation with the China organisation. Now we need to strengthen our workforce with a Legal Analyst China for OBD.

As a Legal Analyst China for OBD you will work with coming legal requirements in the Chinese market. You will perform legal studies, discuss technical solutions with the OBD department and have technical discussions with the Chinese authorities. In order to understand the technical interpretations, the Chinese culture and be able to influence it is a strong request to have Chinese as a mother tongue. In the assignment you will also summarise the OBD attribute status in the projects and present for the project managers. You will work in an ambitious team and have a close cooperation with the other legal analysts, calibration leaders, project managers, verification engineers and the homologation department. Therefore it is important with social skills and ability to network. We offer you great development opportunities within an exciting role.

Main responsibilities

• Interpreting, analysing and communicating OBD legal requirements
• Presenting technical solutions for the Chinese authorities
• Scrutinizing certification documentation for homologation
• Advising OBD development, verification and certification engineers

Required qualifications

• Master of Science in Electro/Mechatronics or equivalent documented experience
• Skilled engineer with several years of experience from working with OBD diagnostic systems and/or engine and engine control development
• Chinese (Mandarin) as a mother tongue
• Structured and used to summarize and present the status of your work
• Knowledge in emission legislation preferably for US is meritorious
• Experience from working with legal requirements and interpretations, especially OBD is meritorious
• Experience from negotiations/technical discussions with authorities is meritorious
• Knowledge about the diagnostic system and its functions is meritorious
• Knowledge in engine and engine control system development is meritorious
• Swedish driving license class B is meritorious
