We now have an exciting opportunity as a Lean Coach to strengthen our team at the Gothenburg site. This role is part of our ongoing commitment to Lean and you will utilize your Lean subject matter expertise, coaching and influencing skills to empower AstraZeneca teams to drive business performance through continuous improvement using Lean methodologies.

In AstraZeneca Operations, we are implementing a Lean approach to improve Business results - "More Medicines to More Patients, More Quickly". Combining our Pharmaceutical Technology and Development (PT & D) creativity with Lean execution will help us bring "More Innovation" to market quickly.

What you'll do?
As a Lean Coach you will work operationally with functions, leadership and teams to successfully embed the AZ Lean Framework into the business processes and to increase overall Lean maturity. The role also includes providing necessary coaching and arrange training as required to build and maintain the required levels of competence and understanding of manage performance. You will also facilitate workshops and lead process improvement and problem solving initiatives.

Typically accountabilities will include:
• You as the change agent will be responsible for building capability and implementation of Lean within a product development environment, aligned with the PT&D Innovation System and AstraZeneca Supply System.
• You will lead, coach and facilitate the application of Lean, Six Sigma and the AstraZeneca Supply System(AZSS) across multiple levels of the organization.
• As part of this role you will facilitate improvement projects/ activities.
• You will be the Process owner for one or more Lean processes.
• You will coach Operational Excellence & line/organization personnel on business process management approaches, ensuring areas follow Standard Ways of Working and have a process for improvement.
• You will collaborate with scientific staff, first line leaders, and department leadership teams, seek input and demonstrate appreciation for diverse views. You will work across boundaries to establish common purpose and goals to deliver value to the business.

Required Skills
• Bachelors in Scientific/Engineering Discipline
• Significant experience of new product development, and applying Lean approaches within that environment
• Demonstrated capability to lead process improvement efforts
• Working knowledge of the DMAIC process
• Working knowledge of Lean Tools such as VSM, Kaizen, etc
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills

Desired Skills
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification from a recognized program
• Prior product development roles within the pharmaceutical industry
• Proven ability to improve pharmaceutical processes through the application of a variety of continuous improvement approaches
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating teams and groups in lean, six sigma and process improvements
• Expertise in the application of analytical problem solving methodology
• Demonstrated proficiency in Mini-Tab, SPC-XL or other statistical analysis software, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
• Flexible to travel to different locations within a geographic region
