Lead Engineer, Protective Safety

The section Safety Electronics is a section within Safety Electronics and Functions, consisting of approximately 70 employees organised into the four groups of Preventive Safety, Protective Safety, Supportive Safety and Sensor Fusion. Within the section we develop systems for Collision Avoidance, Autonomous Drive, Parking Assistance, Driver Support and Protective Safety.

As Lead Engineer you will be responsible for managing the project according to the plan with a set task structure. Protective safety is the area that provides the occupants in the car protection in crash situations. Electronic sensors and ECUs detect, determine and activate different devices i.e. bags and belts. You will develop, monitor and update relevant time plans for the given assignment. The role is broad and requires great communication skills. Main responsibilities

• Plan and manage the given assignment through a cross functional team with many international contacts
• Communicate the project targets, commitments, status and forecasts, both internally and externally
• Encourage and lead the System- and Component Development team
• Take actions to solve deviations and immediately report them

Required qualifications

• M.Sc. in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar
• Experience in project management, preferably within the automotive industry
• Experience from SW or HW development
• Fluent in English, good skills in Swedish
• Drivers license (B, car)
