Lifesum is growing, and the engineering team is no exception, which is why we're looking for a Platform Lead to take the lead in a multitude of complex, technical projects. Responsibilities and what you will do
The Platform team at Lifesum is small but talented, and we're looking for a lead engineer to join the team and bring our product to new heights.
As the team's lead, about ~40% of your time will be spent cross-functionally, alongside area leads:
• Performing first-round scoping and estimating of the platform component of new projects
• Planing and sequencing the platform team's activities into sprints
The other ~60% of your time will be spent contributing, alongside team members:
• Identifying areas of improvement and work to improve them
• Actively shipping enhancements and features to our codebase
• Working proactively on our architecture to enable future growth
• Coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing around best practices
Are you the one we're looking for?
To be successful in this position, we think that you have:
• Worked for 10+ years in environments serving tens of millions of requests per day
• Formally led technical projects from start to release
• Transformed legacy codebases over time
• 5+ years of development experience in Python
• Knowledge about Python microservices and containerized infrastructure
• Worked with the core AWS offering
Python will be your best friend in this position, but we would love it if you have worked with other languages as well. Since the team is small, you will have great opportunities to make a significant impact in your work, so we believe that a proactive attitude and a will to "pick up the ball and run with it" will ensure your success here at Lifesum.
Of course, we would be even happier if you have an interest in either health & fitness or food, but if you would rather chill on the sofa and watch Game of Thrones, you are equally welcome at Lifesum!
